My Father La Promesa Toro (6×52 / Box of 20)
“La Promesa, ‘The Promise,’ is referring to something very personal between Pepín and his family,” Montenegro said. “In 2001 when he left Cuba for the first time, completely alone, he made a promise to the rest of the family, who stayed in Cuba.”
Pepin’s promise was to prove himself, to make something of himself in the cigar industry outside of Cuba, and to honor his family and tobacco heritage. According to My Father, the company as it stands today—with its farms in Nicaragua and factories in both Nicaragua and Miami—is the fulfillment of that promise.
La Promesa is covered in a dark, Ecuador Habano rosado oscuro wrapper, with binder and filler tobaccos from the Garcia family farms in Nicaragua.
